Looks like a cool project, what framework is it built it? Can’t imagine how it would slow down a lot in HTML5.

I use GameMaker: Studio 1.4 for my games.
I found it the best engine for 2D works! Imagine something like 200 bullet instances on the screen how much can lag. x)
Without counting particles effects...

You could let someone else finish the game for you, if you're okay with that.

If code was not a total mess, I could have shared the source.
My biggest mistake is to not put comments. Every time I resume a project, I have to think about what I've done.

@Jamessimo @HealliesGames Are you pooling your bullet sprites? Pretty sure I saw a tech demo rendering 10,000 sprites all at the same time.

Sure! When objects leave the room, they got destroyed.
Obviously slow down happens only in HTML5, on Windows runs well.

I premise that my PC isn't great, and I can't even imagine how it can goes on PCs slower than mine.
